Artist Bio

Margs Seegers Musson is a Littleton-based photographer and Ghost Ranch instructor who has dedicated over 25 years to capturing the soulful connection between light and landscape. Her journey began as a high school freshman, sparking a lifelong passion that eventually merged with her background in marine biology. This scientific foundation informs her artistic practice, allowing her to bring a meticulous eye for detail and a deep appreciation for the natural world to each frame. She captures images on film as well as blending modern convenience by printing digital negatives before entering her darkroom to create works of art by hand.

Artist Statement

With a background in marine biology, my artistic practice is rooted in a scientist’s appreciation for the intricate. I am drawn to the charming poetry of the natural world—from the rhythmic texture of weathered stone to the architectural power of a shadow. By stripping away the distraction of color, I use the language of black and white to reveal the patterns of beauty that often go unnoticed in our high-speed, digital age.
