About the Artist

Larry Vernec Jazz Perspective with Daniel Moran
Born and raised in Montreal Québec, Larry Vernec began his formal bass studies with John Leftwich in Cardiff-by-the Sea, CA in 1982. John has composed and toured with Hubert Laws, Freddie Hubbard, Sergio Mendez, Carmen McCrae, Ricki Lee Jones and continues to be a force in today’s Los Angeles recording scene. Vernec played jazz in the San Diego area for nearly thirty years, playing straight ahead and modern jazz with a variety of local players, and currently plays with Adam Wolff, Joe Anderies, Harold Summey, Alex Tripp, Tenia Nelson and Russell Bizzett (worked with Jose Feliciano, Tommy Bolin, Robben Ford, Freddie Hubbard, Ravi Coltrane and Billy Preston),

Daniel Moran is a pianist/multi-instrumentalist who's been playing professionally in and around the Denver area since 2006. Under the tutelage of Keith Oxman while a student at East High School, Daniel played his first professional gig on trumpet at legendary Denver jazz club El Chapultepec and performed with Phil Urso and Curtis Fuller while still in high school, then went on to study at Lamont School of music in Denver and The New School in Manhattan.
